Born and raised in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Michael is a Licensed Master Social Worker and received his master of social work degree with an emphasis on clinical social work practice from New Mexico Highlands University. Additionally, Michael holds undergraduate degrees in both psychology and social work. Michael has been working in the field of behavioral health and addiction medicine for several years and during this time has worked at several in-patient and out-patient treatment centers in New Mexico, California, Florida, Texas and Alabama. Michael has worked primarily in clinical service but has also worked in administration, overseeing the delivery and appropriateness of services. Michael has worked at: Santa Fe Psychotherapy and Consulting, Santa Fe Recovery Center, Life Healing Center, Solutions Treatment Center, Treatment Consultants, Southwest Family Guidance Center, Summit Estate Recovery Center, LifeSkills of South Florida, Pasadena Villa, Newport Academy, Origins Recovery Center, Hanley Recovery Center, Hannah’s House, Gate Lodge, Destinations to Recovery, New Bridge Recovery Center, Simple Recovery Center, and Magnolia Creek Treatment Center. Additionally, Michael holds a second dan black belt in Iwama style Aikido and is fluent in English and Italian and conversational in Spanish and Portuguese. Currently, Michael works in administration at the Santa Fe Recovery Center, and holds an individual caseload at Santa Fe Psychotherapy and Consulting. Michael brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his clinical practice.
